The Indiana
Standardbred Hall Of Fame was created in 1986 under the direction of Dr.
Lawrence Borst, then president of the Indiana Trotting & Pacing
Association.
The ISHF is
dedicated to preserving the grand and glorious heritage of Hoosier
harness racing. Individuals wishing to make nominations for inductees
should submit a nomination form including a brief outline of the human
or equine accomplishments and a non-returnable photograph to the address
in this booklet. Donations of memorabilia and artifacts are also
welcome. ISHF’s long-range plan includes a permanent display which
showcases the Standardbred and the people who have been important to the
history of the state’s racing industry.
Brief biographies of
each of the inductees since the inception of the Indiana Standardbred
Hall of Fame are on this website.
